ABOUT THE SMIXX PROJECT
Made around music.
Shaped by people.
The Smixx Project brings together open-source tools for musicians and music educators. Its purpose is to develop useful software and make room for the people who use it to help shape its direction.
A shared purpose.
Making music and teaching it both involve practical, creative work. The project puts those experiences at the center of the conversation about what its software should become.
One project. Distinct tools.
The Smixx Project includes an iOS mixer and desktop applications. This website introduces the project and its product areas. Each tool has its own scope and development path.
Open to learning.
Open source creates opportunities to understand software and contribute improvements. A useful suggestion, a careful test, or a clearer explanation can be part of that work. Refer to each product’s repository for its license and contribution guidance when published.
